Heroes of the week
Two weeks in a row: Luca and Giuseppe at the top. Scoring goals helps, and these two need little “how-to” advice on the subject.
Joe Red, Joe Red, and always Joe Reeeeeeeeed. I wonder when they’re gonna start calling him “José Rojo” down in Spain (they might be already). As Villarreal travelled to Malaga, Giuseppe Rossi scored the match opener, and seemed to be leading his team towards a 2-1 victory. Unfortunately, a late goal by the hosts spoiled Joe’s celebrations. Ah well. He’ll get over it later today, when Lippi puts him in the starting eleven vs. Greece.

As for Luca Toni, I have to admit I was somewhat unkind with the big “German” giant last week, even though he had scored a goal. He deserved it though: he was nowhere near the goalscoring machine that terrorized defenders last year, and needed a little bit of ear-pulling to get back on track. Who knows maybe he heard me, ’cause this week he scored another one vs. Mönchengladbach. Too bad it wasn’t enough to get Bayern a win.
