Italian Players Around the World (1/10)

Continuing my weekly article inspired by Gazzetta dello Sport, here are the performances of all Italian players operating in foreign European leagues.

Klose, Toni, and Ribery at the Oktoberfest

Based on Gazzetta’s info, there are currently 24 Italians playing in first divisions abroad, and 15 of them stepped on the field this week-end.

The table below includes the team the player belongs to, their opponents for the week, the number of minutes they played, their contribution (goal, assist), and the final score of the game.

Heroes of the week

This week (once again) the best performance comes from Germany.

Luca Toni scored his 6th goal in 7 matches for Bayern, exploiting an assist of (as is often the case) Miroslav Klose. If Toni keeps this up, he should have over 25 goals by the end of the year. Jawohl, meine Herren!

    1. Tina says:

Ok how do you know that Graziano Pelle’ was in the stands? DId you see a photo? If you did I am dying to see it! Thanks.

    2. Erm… by “stands” I meant that he was unavailable for the match (i.e. neither on the field nor on the bench). Don’t know where he was exactly…

    3. Tina says:

Oh okay well just to let ya know he is injured and will be out for 2 to 3 weeks. He had a ‘blessure’ to his knee.

    4. Ok noted, I’ve updated the table accordingly. Thx for your input. :)
