Second, Alves isn't anywhere near as gifted as the impeccable <strong>Serio Ramos</strong>, who no less a figure than Maldini has recently called the best defender in the world. Third, <strong>John Terry </strong>is okay under the aerial bombardments of the Premier league but he is simply too slow over five yards and when turning to even be considered among the best in the world. Fourth, <strong>Gerrard </strong>doesn't have anywhere near the range of passing to be listed in the top 5 midfielders in the game. Doesn't anyone remember how bad he was at Euro 2004 and the World Cup? He has great drive and great spirit but he is not a great player. Fifth, who actually believes <strong>Alex Ferguson </strong>is a coach? He's a manager, not a coach. A few points of order:
