GOALS of the WEEK

Serie A has been good with us this week, the goalscoring show is back on track with top quality strikes. Here’s a small selection:

Pato’s beautiful cool finish after a masterful AC Milan counter-attack (Fiorentina-Milan)
Nedved’s long-range ripper to tie the Cagliari game, à la Nedved - (Juventus-Cagliari)
Rocchi’s absolutely lovely control & instantaneous left-footed shot over the keeper (Lazio-Sampdoria)
Lucarelli’s looping header from a difficult position (min. 01:44) (Parma-Atalanta)
Floccari’s lone dribbling run and long-range accurate driver (min. 03:00) (Parma-Atalanta)
Stellone’s powerful drive from the edge of the box (min. 01:50) (Reggina-Torino)

This week, the goal-of-the-week award goes to Atalanta defender Gianpaolo Bellini. In the match Parma-Atalanta (which featured some really nice goals, see above), the Nerazzurri’s second goal of the match came through an absolute stormer from long range. No keeper in the world could have saved it, and here it is (scroll up to min. 02:30):
