Heroes of the week
Stars are shining very brightly over German soil this week, as a certain ex-Fiorentina player really brought down the house on Sunday.
Thieves may well have burglarized his Italian home in Modena recently, Luca Toni has lost nothing of his concentration or his goalscoring verve. In the match vs. Hannover this week-end, Bayern Munich took their time to warm up but then really went to work on their opponents, producing three goals in the second half courtesy of the Italian giant. Yessir, a hat-trick for Luca, and the goals could have been a lot more had it not been for Hannover’s keeper Robert Enke. Toni is now leading the Bundesliga scoring charts unopposed, with 13 goals.
As for Giuseppe Rossi, his non-scoring streak extends to two games this week. That’s not so bad mind you, but it’s especially unlucky because the ex-Manchester United striker had the chance to put Villareal ahead this week-end, but his spot-kick effort from 12 yards was blasted wide. The Yellow Submarine tied 0-0.
Fabio Cannavaro didn’t have a very happy week-end either. Real Madrid started well against Betis taking the early lead, but then the Merengues’ defence went to sleep, and within a 5-minute span allowed two goals to lose the game 2-1.

Indeed, it was not a good week for Fabio Cannavaro. Tomorrow, it will be tough too playing against Roma. Though, Real Madrid lost against Betis, Roma must concentrate well to conquer this victory in the Olimpico.
Luca Toni is doing terrific! FORZA TONI!!!!!
