Chelsea manager José Mourinho sacked!

September 20th, 2007 by Marco Pantanella

‘The Chosen One’ has been chosen to leave…Ok, this has got nothing to do with Serie A, but it’s got me completely floored. I’m flabbergasted.

Here, you better read for yourself:

.
For me, this is absolutely out of the blue. Chelsea’s season so far hadn’t been particularly brilliant, but to be honest I never expected a sack! Chelsea’s official statement is that the club and Mourinho have parted ‘by mutual consent’, but I don’t believe that. Mourinho’s got a fiery temper, and I wouldn’t be surprised if words flared between him and Abramovich.

The questions to be asked now are:

  1. Where will Mourinho go, but more importantly,
  2. Who will Chelsea pick as a replacement?

Media rumours mentioned Sevilla coach Juande Ramos as a replacement at Chelsea, but frankly I doubt it. We should be looking towards currently available coaches… Klinsmann, Lippi, or Capello perhaps?

Suggestions anyone?

Dear God! Abramovich just sent his whole team down the toilet. Where the hell is he gonna find a replacement for Mourinho within such a short notice?!!!! Leaving the club without a manager for the next month or so? Pure genius…

Dude, Mourinho was probably the only interesting manager in the whole fucking league in years. He was arrogant, but you could always count on him for some priceless post-match comments.

    Such a shame he’s gone.

Wow this is sensational news! I hope he stays in England. I cant see where he’ll go unless the FA grow a pair and approach him or Fergie steps down (cant see that either).

I knew he was pissed off after Tuesdays result but this is something else  Never lost a game at home in 3 years, Abrhamovic has really screwed up imho.

You know what? good for Jose! There’s only so much a man can take, and Roman can shove it up is ***!

Fu** Kenyon, And especially Fu** Roman.

Mourinho is gonna teach him a hard lesson. Roman thinks he knows it all. He thinks he can get someone better than Jose. We’ll see about that. By the time this season is over Roman is crying for Jose to come back. Especially when Jose takes half the team with him wherever he ends up. Carvalho gone, Ferreira gone, Cech gone, Terry gone, Lampard gone.

Roman should have done what he does best, sign checks and keep his mouth shut and left the footballing decisions to those that know what they are doing.

I don’t think Terry and Cech would go. The others might.

According to an unnamed senior Chelsea player (probably Ballack or Shevchenko  ) he has been sacked.

Reports are saying Portugal and he’ll replace Scolari with Deschamps to take over, but I think he should just move across town to North London and take over Spurs. That’ll really make this interesting. Either that or Inter.

So why did he quit? I didn’t really get it. Did he want more money, because aparently he’s getting paid a handsome compensation package!
